Renew Elec Training Teams Up with Wiha to Support the Next Generation of Electricians

At Renew Elec Training, safety, quality, and doing things properly from the very beginning are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to be working alongside Wiha Tools, who have shown a genuine, ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of electricians with a safety-first, quality-led approach.

Wiha have not only committed to continuing to donate professional VDE-insulated tools to our learners, but they also attended our training centre launch in person, taking the time to meet our new students, talk about safe working practices, and show their support for those just starting their journey in the electrical industry.

Supporting Level 2 New Entrants and Experienced Workers Formalising Their Qualifications

This initiative supports learners enrolling on our Level 2 Electrical Installation programmes, whether they are new entrants to the trade or experienced workers following the experienced worker route to formalise their qualifications.

No matter the route, we believe everyone deserves access to the right tools, the right training, and the right safety culture from the outset.

It is so important to have industry support as a training provider.

Designed by an Electrician, for Electricians

Rather than offering a generic starter kit, Wiha went one step further. They invited Alex, one of our experienced trainers and electricians, to help choose what an ideal first professional toolkit should include for a new entrant to the trade.

This ensured the tools weren’t just high quality — they were practical, relevant, and genuinely useful on site, reflecting the realities of modern electrical work.

Each Wiha kit includes:

  • A nicely weighted hammer for comfort and control

  • A VDE-insulated screwdriver set for safe working

  • 8-in-1 VDE multifunctional pliers

  • A tape measure

  • An electrician’s spirit level

These are tools learners will reach for daily — not items that sit unused in the bottom of a bag.

Real and meaningful support from electrical specialists is set to help the next generation of electricians.

Putting Safety and Quality First from Day One

We firmly believe that VDE-protected tools are part of an electrician’s PPE, not an optional extra. Starting training with the right tools helps embed safe habits early, building confidence and professionalism from day one.

Too often, new entrants waste hard-earned money on the wrong tools — poorly balanced, unsuitable, or unsafe — simply because they don’t yet know what they really need. This partnership removes that barrier and helps learners start as they mean to go on, with equipment they can trust.

A Shared Commitment to the Future of the Industry

Wiha’s ongoing support goes far beyond generosity — it represents a shared belief that investing in people is key to building a safer, more positive, and more professional electrical industry.

At Renew Elec Training, we’re proud to be aligned with a brand that understands the importance of education, mentorship, and doing things right from the start. Their commitment sends a powerful message to our learners: you matter, your safety matters, and your future matters.

This partnership is a perfect example of how collaboration across the industry can make a real difference — and we’re incredibly grateful to Wiha for standing alongside us as we train the next generation of electricians.

Thank you, Wiha, for your continued support, your time, and your belief in a safety-first future for our industry.

Together, we’re helping new electricians start their careers properly — with the right mindset, the right training, and the right tools.
