Question of the Week: Two Weeks In – Thank You for the Joining In!

When we launched Question of the Week, our aim was simple: to spark conversation, encourage learning, and give people across the electrical industry the confidence to take part in discussions — no matter where they’re at in their journey.

Just two weeks in, we’ve been genuinely blown away by the response.

From a Simple Question to a Growing Conversation

In our first week, we saw 21 correct answers across our social platforms. That alone told us we were onto something.

By week two, that number had grown to around 87 correct answers, spread across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

What’s been most encouraging isn’t just the increase in numbers, but the quality of engagement:

  • Thoughtful explanations in the comments

  • Healthy debate and peer-to-peer learning

  • People supporting others who were unsure but willing to have a go

That’s exactly the kind of learning environment we try to create in our training centre — and it’s been brilliant to see it happening online too.

Thank You to Our Community

We want to say a genuine thank you to everyone who has taken part so far.

Putting an answer in a public comment section isn’t always easy, especially in a technical industry where people can worry about getting things wrong. The fact that so many of you are getting involved tells us that confidence is growing — and that matters.

Whether you’ve answered one question or every single one, your engagement is what’s making this work.

A Big Thank You to Unilite

We also want to take a moment to thank Unilite UK, whose approach to education and engagement helped inspire this new quiz format.

Unilite kindly donated this lightweight torch for our week two competition on our social media channels for Renew Elec Training

They’ve generously supported Question of the Week by providing prizes to help us celebrate participation and learning — and we’re really grateful for that support.

Keeping Things Fair and Transparent

As participation has grown across multiple platforms, we want to make sure everyone knows where they stand when it comes to giveaways linked to Question of the Week.

To keep things fair, clear and consistent, we’ve now published simple giveaway terms and conditions that apply across all platforms. These outline:

  • Who can enter

  • How entries are counted

  • How winners are selected and contacted

  • What happens if a winner doesn’t respond

This isn’t about adding barriers — it’s about transparency and fairness as our community continues to grow.

Looking Ahead

Question of the Week will continue exactly as intended:

  • Education-first

  • Open discussion encouraged

  • A supportive space to learn, question and grow

If engagement continues the way it has over the last two weeks, we’re excited to see where this goes next.

Thank you for being part of it — and keep an eye out for the next question.
