Renew Elec Training Announces Primrose Hospice as Charity of the Year

At Renew Elec Training, supporting our local community has always been at the heart of what we do. From working with local suppliers wherever possible to investing in the next generation of skilled electrical professionals, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful relationships.

That is why we are proud to announce Primrose Hospice as our Charity of the Year.

Why We Chose Primrose Hospice

We were introduced to Primrose Hospice when attending the Mayor’s Civic Charity Dinner last Friday. The timing could not have been better. Learning more about the incredible work the hospice does for individuals and families across our local area resonated deeply with our values as a business rooted in the community.

Primrose Hospice provides compassionate care and support to people living with life‑limiting illnesses, as well as vital emotional and practical support for their families. Their services extend far beyond medical care, offering dignity, comfort, and understanding at some of life’s most challenging moments.

As a local training provider, we felt choosing a hospice that directly supports people within our own community was the right decision. Their work impacts families, friends, colleagues, and neighbours — people many of us know personally.

Supporting Local Causes, Supporting Local People

This partnership reflects our wider commitment to supporting local organisations. Earlier this year, we shared how and why we prioritise working with local suppliers wherever possible, strengthening the local economy and building long‑term partnerships.

Choosing a local hospice as our Charity of the Year is a natural extension of this approach. By supporting Primrose Hospice, we can help ensure that vital services remain available to those who need them most in our area.

Fundraising Through Our Summer Electrical Skills Event

To launch our support, we are delighted to confirm that Primrose Hospice will be attending our upcoming Summer Electrical Skills Event at our training centre.

This event brings together learners, industry professionals, manufacturers, and suppliers for a day focused on skills, knowledge sharing, and community connection — making it the perfect opportunity to raise funds and awareness for an incredible cause.

Raffle Prizes Donated by Industry Partners

We are proud to be working with some fantastic industry sponsors who are supporting our fundraising efforts. We are inviting partners including:

  • Wiha

  • Sockits

  • Aico

  • UniLite

  • Bullfix Fixings

  • and others from across the electrical industry

to attend the event and donate prizes for a charity raffle.

In addition to the in‑person raffle, we also plan to run the raffle online via our social media platforms, allowing even more people to get involved and support the hospice, whether they can attend the event or not.

Every ticket sold will help raise essential funds for Primrose Hospice and the vital care they provide.

Supporting Primrose Hospice feels like such a natural fit for us and we hope to raise awareness as well as vital funds

Looking Ahead: A Partnership with Purpose

Our goal is not just to raise money, but to build an ongoing relationship with Primrose Hospice throughout the year. We are already exploring additional ways we can support the hospice, raise awareness of their work, and encourage our learners, partners, and wider network to get involved.

We believe businesses have a responsibility to give back, and we are committed to making a positive difference where it matters most.

Join Us This Summer

We look forward to welcoming Primrose Hospice, our sponsors, and attendees to our Summer Electrical Skills Event and sharing more about the fundraising activities planned on the day.

Together, with the support of our community and industry partners, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to an organisation that brings comfort, care, and compassion to so many local families.
