Design and Installation of Domestic & Small Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Installations
Electric Vehicle (EV) sales continue to rise, and with them the demand for safe, compliant EV chargepoint installations. The City & Guilds 2921-34 qualification supports qualified electricians to understand the technical requirements and practical considerations for installing EV charging equipment in domestic and small commercial environments.
This course is delivered in centre in collaboration with FastAmps to ensure you’re confident with the latest requirements for design, installation, inspection and certification of EV charging points.
Who this course is for
This course is designed for qualified electricians who want to expand into EV charging installations and improve their knowledge of:
· design and installation considerations
· safety and protection requirements
· inspection, testing and certification
· commissioning and handover expectations
Course eligibility / entry requirements
To complete this course and gain certification you must:
· Be 18 years+, and
· Be able to provide evidence of one of the following (or recognised equivalents)
Accepted qualifications Pre-requisites
· City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) (2357)
· City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance) (2357)
· City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification (5357)
· City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker (2356)
· City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346)
· City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification (2347)
· Equivalent qualifications from other awarding organisations may be acceptable
· Equivalent historical qualifications (refer to EAS Table 4B/4C and the EAS Qualifications Guide)
