Powerland Training Academy Joins Renew Elec Training: Female-Owned, Hands-On Electrical Training in Alcester
This year, we’re proud to announce that Renew Elec Training has taken over the well-established Powerland Training Academy in Alcester. As two qualified female electricians, Sam and Alex are now running the centre — taking bookings, teaching, and assessing every course ourselves
Who Are Sam Lawler and Alex Tranter
Sam and Alex are the directors of Renew Elec Training and are both qualified electricians and assessors with around 50 years of experience between them. Sam runs her own successful training company specialising in delivering corporate training with bespoke packages developed to suit the customers needs. Alex runs a recruitment company that looks to improve the provision for construction colleges. Having worked together for around 7 years in education they decided to stop moaning about the state of education and put something in place to make real improvements - starting locally in Alcester.
What Makes Renew Elec Training Different
Alex - I would say that our small class sizes are helpful for the candidates in terms of getting that one-to-one support. We are also unusual in that we are qualified electricians who are also the directors. With a strong social media presence, helping to support learners from across the world. We have current courses available and are able to work with industry to be reactive to changes in regulations.
Renew Elec Training is run by two female electricians, at the time of writing there is estimated to be around 3500 female electricians in the UK, so maybe we will become positive roles models for the next generation. We haven’t been able to find any other provider who is female led by qualified electricians, and we are hoping this will further help to break down perceived barriers into the industry.
What Courses Do Renew Elec Training Offer
At Renew Elec Training we offer some great courses for established electricians as well as those looking to gain formal qualifications in the industry. From the 2391-52 for electricians to the 18th edition course. We are looking to build sustainable careers for those choosing to train with us.
Why Train With Renew Elec Training
We aim to make the centre as relaxing and professional as possible, a bit of a juggling act, but we find it the best learning environment. We have around 50 years experience between us on the tools and on-site as well as teaching and assessing. Hopefully we can maintain our high pass rates with you in our centre as well! Find out more about our courses here, and see if you are ready to have a chat with either of us today.
